Find Inspiration on the LWML Website

The national LWML website has wonderful resources for both personal and group use. Whether you are looking for Bible studies or meeting ideas, you’re bound to find something that is perfect for the occasion.

There are many Bible Studies available, both to download (no cost) and to purchase from the LWML Store. Two of the free Bible studies available to download are:

• Experience the Joy by Mirian Maassel Neumann – a three-part study “focusing on the joy we find through Christ’s forgiveness and also the comfort and protection we receive from God our Father.”
• Overflowing Abundance by Donna Snow – a six-part study on “Jesus’ feeding of the five thousand” where you will “see a compelling picture of our compassionate Savior.”

The website has a large selection of short Bible Studies, Devotions, Devotion Collections, Sketches, and Drama Skits available to download (no cost) that are perfect for meetings, lunches, workshops, or small group gatherings. They can be browsed by theme, season, or church year. Some new ones are:

While we have our inspiring mission grants that we support within our CNH District, there are also mission grants at the national level that all the districts across the United States support. The website lists and tracks those mission grants, and also provides various ways to encourage mite giving. There are:

• Monthly Mission Service activities – an archive of monthly activities from previous years that are still good ideas and could be used
• Monthly Prayer Calendars – a daily prayer guide to use as you feed your Mite Box
• Mite Explanation and History

FOCUS on Jesus is a series of presentations about Lutheran Women in Mission that can be shared with women who are new to the congregation or women that are unfamiliar with Lutheran Women in Mission.

The website has resources for new groups that could also be used to revitalize a group.

• New Group Welcome Packet – this resource gives a lot of helpful information about LWML as well as steps to follow when starting a new group.
• Mailbox Member Program – an intentional way to reach the women of your congregation who may not be participating in established LWML group activities. There are now 5 years of monthly resources that have recently been updated.

The website has up-to-date information about the national convention and the district conventions. Did you know that the 42nd Biennial Convention will be in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, next year in July. Mark your calendar now to be Transformed in Christ and check out the details on the website.
