We are delighted to welcome you to the LWML CNH Convention, April 24–26, 2026, in Sacramento. This gathering is a time to come together as sisters in Christ for worship, learning, fellowship, and service. Whether this is your first convention or you have attended many before, we pray this experience will encourage your faith, strengthen your relationships, and renew your joy in serving the Lord. We look forward to all that God will accomplish among us as we gather in His name

- All ladies are invited to join us. Additionally, husbands and pastors are encouraged to attend.
- Saturday Night Banquet: Theme is the Roaring Twenties – remember to bring your 1920’s fashions.

Servant Activities: Ingathering and In-Service Projects
One of the most meaningful parts of our LWML CNH Convention is coming together in Christ’s love to serve others. This year, we will participate in two Ingathering and In-Service projects that support our unhoused neighbors in the Sacramento area. Through these efforts, we have the opportunity to meet both physical needs and spiritual needs, offering dignity, compassion, and hope. We invite every attendee, group, and zone to prayerfully consider how they can participate by donating items and helping us prepare these gifts of care.
Mercy Holistic Ministry (Shower Ministry)
Mercy Holistic Ministry serves our unhoused neighbors by affirming their dignity and restoring lives through compassionate, Christ-centered care. Their outreach meets people where they are, offering practical services alongside spiritual support. Through showers, meals, clothing, medical assistance, counseling, and social services, this ministry works toward a vision of a healthy, hopeful community free from hunger and homelessness.
At the convention, we will assemble Mercy Holistic Ministry care bags that provide essential hygiene and comfort items for those they serve.
Blessing Bags for the Homeless
Our second Ingathering focuses on creating Blessing Bags—portable care bags that can be kept in a car and shared when an opportunity arises to help someone in need. These bags offer nourishment, small comforts, and a reminder that they are seen and valued.
Following the Ingathering Litany on Sunday morning, attendees will be invited to take a few Blessing Bags with them to share beyond the convention, extending the impact of this servant activity into our everyday lives.
Helpful Notes
- Many of these items are available in bulk from online retailers or local dollar stores.
- Start collecting early and consider working together as a society or zone.
- All Ingathering items will be brought forward during the Sunday Ingathering Litany, and Blessing Bags will be available afterward to take and share.
Bring items for one or both Ingathering projects as we serve our unhoused neighbors in the Sacramento area with Christ’s love.
Bible Study Leader: Dorothy Glenn
Deaconess Dorothy Glenn is the head of the faith department at Sierra Lutheran High School, Carson city NV. Dorothy graduated from Concordia University Chicago with a major in Theology and a minor in Psychology with Deaconess certification. She holds additional training in one unit of clinical pastoral education. She is currently finishing up her M.A. in Practical Theology with an emphasis on education through Concordia Seminary St Louis. In her spare time, Dorothy enjoys creating resources for spiritual and mental health through her own publishing brand, Doron Theo Books, LLC.
Offerings and Mites
We will have three offerings during the convention. At our Friday night worship service with communion, our offering will be designated for our 2026-2028 LWML CNH mites. We will collect a door offering after the Saturday morning session, which will be designated for our Steinbeck Memorial Scholarship fund. The final offering will be collected at our Sunday morning worship service, and it will be designated for our Rubin Perpetual Memorial fund.
Donations can be made at any time to any of these funds by using the appropriate remittance form, found on the Resources page of our website.
Convention Business and Voting Materials
Delegates attending the LWML CNH Convention will participate in important district business, including voting on mission grants, leadership positions, and proposed bylaw updates. To help delegates prepare in advance, the documents below provide the information that will be voted. We encourage delegates and attendees to review these materials ahead of time as we prayerfully consider the work God has placed before us.
