When Creativity Meets God’s Word

When many people hear the words Bible journaling, they picture someone quietly coloring in the margins of a journaling Bible. While that is certainly one expression of Visual Faith, it is only the beginning.

During your LWML meetings, when you’re doing your Bible study or devotion, spend a few minutes creating a simple response to the Scripture. Members might illustrate a favorite verse, design a bookmark, or create a prayer card. The goal isn’t to create artwork—it’s to spend a little more time reflecting on God’s Word together.

Create handmade Scripture cards, prayer cards, or bookmarks to include with communion visits, birthday greetings, or care packages. A simple reminder of God’s promises can bring comfort and encouragement long after the visit ends.

Design monthly prayer calendars, Scripture memory cards, or prayer journals to share with your congregation. These simple resources encourage others to remain rooted in God’s Word throughout the week.

Create Bible memory cards, coloring pages featuring Scripture, or simple prayer journals for Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, or families with young children. It’s a wonderful way to help pass God’s Word to the next generation.
